The Am/Am Not Project
The basis of the project is to visually show how slurs undermine other aspects of an individual's identity through text-based posters. Submissions will be made into posters, and then displayed in a public instillation.
Submitting is very simple!
Submit a message stating three things you are (I am a student, son, brother, artist, etc, etc.) and one thing that you are not (A Slur). PLEASE also include an identity or affinity group your "slur" relates to or pushes you into-this will help in the coloring and grouping of the posters. If you belong to more than one affinity group, please feel free to submit more than once! This project will be completely anonymous to protect participant's identities.
The posters will be uploaded to this blog as they come in, so check back regularly! This project depends on submissions for success, and your participation is greatly appreciated.
